Quality Assurance

The University of Macerata wants to develop and disseminate the culture of quality at all levels of the organization to ensure and continuously improve the efficiency of the services provided in relation to teaching, research and third mission activities.

Reports and complaints

In order to bring to light critical situations and differing perspectives, a report/complaint submission form has been created with the aim of continually improving university services. It will be used to gather reports, suggestions, and complaints from all interested parties.

The University Quality Office (UQO) will not disclose the identity of the people reporting the issues, who will be protected from every form of discrimination, penalization, and retaliation. Indeed, the UQO guarantees that itwill not share their personal data with third parties unless required to do so by legal obligations or to protect the rights of the University. In addition, when the UQO can identify the individual making the report, it guarantees that it will send them an email containing accurate feedback on the result of their report.

The UQO does not respond immediately to anonymous reports in accordance with the revised procedure requested by the Academic Senate during the session of 22 March 2016. The UQO will investigate anonymous complaints only if confirmed by at least another complaint which is not anonymous.

In this case, the UQO performs a preliminary assessment of the validity of the reports and whether they fall within the purview of the office itself, provided that these reports are detailed and well-motivated. It will not consider reports that not only do not have the features described above but that also contain general, confused, and/or clearly defamatory information.
